Proverbs 28:1 – “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold like a Lion.”
The Term Boldness (parrhesia) is used 42 times in the New Testament. It is translated often as openly or freely. The idea is that people empowered by the Holy Spirit we plainly and with confidence communicating the truth of Jesus. Tempering the truth in love is a challenging balancing act. As we speak plainly the truth of Jesus we do so in a manner that keeps the same humility and grace that Christ demonstrated.
Paul petitions the Ephesians to pray for him, so that he may declare it BOLDLY, as he ought to speak. (Ephesians 6:18-20)
Time and time again we see this language of boldly being used with believers who are communicating the Gospel.
God Loves You.
Jesus Died for You.
He can transform your life, He transformed my life.
He will do it for you.
When you meet resistance don’t let it diminish your boldness. The righteousness of God dwells inside of you, be Bold like a Lion about your faith.
