Northgate Kids is our fun and vibrant Children’s Ministry. Every Sunday morning we hang out, have fun learning and celebrating our awesome God. We have three areas children can be involved with on Sunday mornings.

CRECHE (Birth – 5 years) “RAINDROPS”

Raindrops take so many different forms. They have the potential to refresh, to cleanse and to stop drought. They also have the potential to cause flooding and completely change the land and it’s surrounds. What if we could give our children a chance to do the same? No matter what age our children are, they have the potential to change our world, and make it more like God’s Kingdom. They have the potential to refresh people, excite people and bring people out of the drought in their life, through the hope in Jesus! – “Drip down, O heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it. I, the LORD, have created it.” ISAIAH 45:8

INFANTS (Kindy – Year 2) “RIPPLES”

Ripples are defined as: a small wave or series of waves on the surface of the water, especially as caused by a slight breeze or an object dropping onto it. I’d love to see the children at Northgate Church grow into becoming “Ripples”. I can see them being that rock that drops into the vast lake and causes ripples that last a lifetime…that are never ending and are driven by their love, passion and thirst for Jesus and living a life like His! I can see them being ripples in our world that have a bright future – who bring hope and joy to others! – “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” JEREMIAH 29:11

PRIMARY (Years 3 – 6) “WAVES”

Waves are beautiful, breathtaking and constant. Each magnificent wave build up it’s energy to reach its highest point, then curls over to strike the rocks and the sand with an almighty force and strength. Look at the whole process of a wave – it is formed, it grows, it reaches its peak, it crashes, echoes into other waves and effects its surroundings. Relate this to our children – our children will start somewhere, reach a peak, crash, learn some lessons, make some mistakes, have some wins, have some losses, and start again. It’s a journey and a process and by having their foundations firmly planted in God, no matter how many waves they ride, they will be perfected over time in His image – and they can help others experience this journey with God along the way. “For I am the LORD your God, who stirs up the sea and it’s waves roar (the LORD of Hosts is His name)” ISAIAH 51:15
