At Northgate we are committed and enthusiastic about growing and nurturing children of all ages to be all that God has made them to be!
Northgate provides a wide range of Kids programs and events, but most of all Northgate is a safe place where children can build strong relational connections with others and most importantly with God.
Kids Church – Sunday Mornings 10am
Details: Sundays 10am – Pre-school to Year 7
Our Mission: Children at Kids Church will be equipped for life-long faith by participating in creative, bible-based teaching in a fun, relational and child focused learning environment.
What we do: Each Sunday our Children head out to Kids Church after 1 song and announcements. At Kids Church we split into three age groups that have slightly different structures to match the age level of the children in that group. Creative Bible teaching, fun games, memory verses, discussion time, prayer, questions, and giving are all features of your typical morning of Kids Church.
We have three age groups at Kids Church so that your child can be taught at their level:
Raindrops is our amazing pre-school program. Our Raindrops leaders are incredibly talented at working with little ones and each week these children participate in a wide variety of fun activities that help them learn the basic truths of God!
Vision: Raindrops take so many different forms. They have the potential to refresh, to cleanse and to stop drought. No matter what age our children are, they have the potential to change our world, and make it more like God’s Kingdom. They have the potential to refresh people, excite people and bring people out of the drought in their life, through the hope in Jesus!
“Drip down, O heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it. I, the LORD, have created it.” ISAIAH 45:8
Ripples is our early primary (Kindergartern to Year 4) program. Ripples is where Children can begin to go deeper in their faith and grow in their relationship with Jesus. During Ripples, children are equipped to follow Jesus throughout the week, and are challenged with fun, creative Bible teaching!
Vision: Ripples are defined as a small wave or series of waves on the surface of the water, especially as caused by a slight breeze or an object dropping onto it. We believe our children can be like Ripples caused by Jesus, causing Kingdom ripples throughout the world wherever they go! We believe that children can be a light to the world and be an influence for Jesus that lasts generations! Our Ripples have a bright future – who bring hope and joy to others because of Jesus!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” PROVERBS 3:5-6
Waves is our upper primary (Years 5-7) group. Our Waves group is a relational and fun group where our older children can be challenged and grow in their faith in Jesus. Our Waves group is always full of great discussion, practical lessons, questions and laughter!
Vision: Waves are beautiful, breathtaking and constant. Look at the whole process of a wave – it is formed, it grows, it reaches its peak, it crashes, echoes into other waves and effects its surroundings. Relate this to our children – our children will start somewhere, reach a peak, crash, learn some lessons, make some mistakes, have some wins, have some losses, and start again. It’s a journey and a process and by having their foundations firmly planted in God, no matter how many waves they ride, they will be perfected over time in His image – and they can help others experience this journey with God along the way.
“For I am the LORD your God, who stirs up the sea and it’s waves roar (the LORD of Hosts is His name)” ISAIAH 51:15

Northgate Kids Safety and Child Protection:
At Northgate Church, Safety and Child Protection are of the upmost priority and importance.
Northgate Church complies with all legal requirements and goes above and beyond to ensure Best Practice policies are practiced for the safety and wellbeing of every child.
Every leader involved in any Children’s or Youth Ministry has a verified, valid Working with Children Check and has completed Safe Ministry Training within the past three years. Our leadership team are regularly refreshing and updating their safe ministry practice and strive to ensure all children feel welcome and safe.
Northgate Kids Core Values:
Our core values shape and protect the Northgate Kids ethos and culture, ensuring we do not stray away from the mission and vision of Northgate Kids.
Bible Based Teaching – Everything in the Scriptures is God’s Word. All of it is useful for teaching and helping people and for correcting them and showing them how to live. The Scriptures train God’s servants to do all kinds of good deeds. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (CEV). Northgate Kids teaching in any program has to be based on the Bible.
Fun – Fun is a necessary and important part of life, especially for children. At Northgate Kids we strive to foster an environment of fun in every program and event.
Relational – We were not made to do the Christian walk alone. God gave us the Church family to act like a Body, everybody has a crucial and unique part to play and we need each other. At Northgate Kids we never want to just ‘run a program’, instead we actively ensure our programs and events are places where children can form strong relationships with other children, leaders and the wider Church.
Child Focused – Northgate Kids is designed for children! We desire that children would feel that the spaces, environments, events and programs at Northgate Kids are tailor-made to inspire awe, wonder and excitement for children, not just adults.
Creativity – Northgate Kids never wants to be a place where boredom, the status quo and complacency can creep in. We desire that every event, program and environment in Northgate Kids is oozing with creativity, and is an optimal learning environment for every child’s learning style.
