Genesis 18:1-33

Genesis 18:1-33

Some questions for deeper reflection:

  1. Who you are: “The old creation has gone, the new creation has come” (2 Cor 5:17). “I have come to give you life to the full” (John 10:10), “You are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for you to do” Eph 2:10 You are chosen (1 Thess 1:4), loved (Eph 1:4), brought near to God (Eph 2:13). Which of God’s promises like these are hardest for you to trust?
  2. Tracing God’s work in your life so far, can you sense the shape of God’s bigger story for your life? How might your current frustrations, disappointments or circumstances be part of that story?
  3. Nothing is too hard for the Lord (Gen 18:14). How would you live differently this week if you could fully trust that God will do what he says he’ll in your life?
